MCA Apocalypse

The time has finally arrived, over the last few months monsters have competed for this, to have a shot at and become the first MCA World Champion. Well, now it is time for them to work even harder against other well fought monsters to become the champion. Let’s remind ourselves who is fighting tonight and how they got here

  • Kiryu (Defeated Mothra)
  • Rodan (First KOTM Champion)
  • Desghidorah (Impressive Debut defeating Rodan)
  • Megaguirus (Defeated Zudomon in Debut match)
  • Titanosaurus (Defeated Buraki)
  • Godzilla (Defeated Battra)
  • Anguiras (Defeated Rhedosaurus in a Best of 3 Series)
  • The DeathSaurer (Won the first Hostile Takeover Match)

So we have the competitors, now we need the matches. This is how it will be done. Using a D8 the monsters will be paired up, they will then fight it out in a series of 5 fight matches, whoever wins will proceed onto the next round. So, let’s see who is fighting who:

Titanosaurus vs Rodan

Desghidorah vs The DeathSaurer

Megaguirus vs Kiryu

Godzilla vs Anguiras

We have the monsters, we have the matches, we have the battleground, enough talk let Chaos Begin.

The final match of round 1 will be Godzilla vs Anguiras. This is almost like a rematch of their fight in 1955, back then Godzilla won, question is who will win 57 years later  – Godzilla goes first.

Godzilla Wins. Godzilla reigns triumphant again, it has been 57 years since their titanic battle and the result stays the same.

So we started with 8 and we are already down to 4:

  • Rodan 2
  • The DeathSaurer 19
  • Megaguiras 15
  • Godzilla 18

Now we need to pair these monsters together again and then make them fight all over again. This time however the matches will be 7 fights not 5 fights. To see who will be facing who it will be decided by a D20. The 2 monsters with the highest values will face each other and the 2 monster with the lowest values will face each other. After this round of fighting we will be 1 match away from crowning the first MCA World Champion. The second matches will be:

The DeathSaurer vs Godzilla

Megaguiras vs Rodan

So, let the next round of Chaos begin.

Godzilla vs DeathSaurer

The first round will be between The DeathSaurer vs Godzilla – The DeathSaurer goes first.

The next round will be Megaguiras vs Rodan – Rodan goes first.

Rodan Wins. In another climactic battle, Megaguiras gets a great start but is then beaten to a pulp by the KOTM Champion and just manages to get some shots in at the end, but it was too little too late. Rodan goes through to the World Title Match.

Coming up next is the big one, the World Title Match, whoever wins this will become the first MCA World Champion. But first lets remind ourselves how the 2 monsters came to this point. Rodan earned his spot thanks to his King of the Monsters victory in July. In the first round he defeated Titanosaurus and then went on to give Megaguiras their first defeat to reach this match. Godzilla defeated Battra (the current number 1 contender) in October. He then went on to defeat Anguiras before defeating The DeathSaurer to reach this point. This final match will be a 9 fight match. Whoever wins this will become the MCA World Champion. Let Chaos Commence. In the black corner, with a 4 Wins and 1 Loss – The King Of The Monsters, GODZILLA. And in the white corner with 7 Wins and 1 Loss, The Fire Pterodactyl, The KOTM Champion, RODAN.

Godzilla 1954 - Present

Godzilla must really want revenge on Rodan for being the KOTM Champion. However Rodan did not have the strength this time to defeat Godzilla who is now the MCA Champion. Congratulations Godzilla.

So, it is finally happened, within a year we have crowned our first World Champion. Now it is up to Godzilla to hold onto that title for as long as possible. And it may not be that long as next month he takes on the current Number 1 Contender Battra. Join us next month for many more Fantastic Monster Battles. Take Care and Watch Out.

MCA – Monster Combat Alliance – Halloween Hospital

31 10 2012

Last month was another big month for the MCA with some more debuting monsters and some more monsters qualifying for the World Title Tournament in December. There are only four places left in the World Title Tournament, here is how it currently looks:

  • Kiryu
  • Rodan
  • Desghidorah
  • Megaguirus

This month we have three qualifying matches for the World Title Tournament. The final spot in the tournament will be decided next month in a match I am going to call the Hostile Takeover Match, more on that later.  This month we of course have the final match in the three part series between Rhedosaurus and Anguiras, there is a match between Godzilla and Battra as well as Titanosaurus and Buraki. All of these matches have a spot in the World Title Tournament at stake. We also have Rodan (KOTM 2012 Champion) vs Zudomon and The Kraken vs Gigan (KOTM 2012 3rd Place), Let the Chaos commence.

Our first match of the evening is The Kraken vs Gigan in a 5 fight match – Gigan goes first.

Gigan Kraken
15 1
13 2

13 1

Gigan Wins, Gigan is back on form after last month. After such a fantastic match I am going to give Gigan a spot in the Hostile Takeover match, I think he deserves it. The Kraken adds to his losses, bad luck.

Next up we have the first Qualifying match of the night for the World Title Tournament, Titanosaurus vs Buraki in a 5 fight match – Buraki goes first.

Buraki Titanosaurus
7 17
17 20
6 7
13 7
7 13

Titanosaurus Wins, two victories in a row for Titanosaurus. Buraki did not appear to put up much of a fight this time around compared to last month.

Next, Godzilla returns as he takes on Battra for a place in the World Title Tournament in a 7 fight match – Godzilla goes first.

Godzilla Battra

1 17
15 13
2 1
2 9
20 15
7 2

Godzilla, Millenium 4th Generation, Toho Co., Ltd. (Toho Kingdom)

Godzilla wins, It was going to be a titanic battle between 2 of our toughest monsters but it was Godzilla who earns that shot at the World Title. Bad luck for Battra.

Up next is a 5 fight match between Zudomon and the King Of The Monsters 2012 Champion Rodan – Rodan goes first.

Rodan Zudomon
15 13
11 13
7 10
16 7
19 12

Rodan Wins, Rodan has another impressive win. While Rodan holds a title more prestigious than any other title in the MCA (and the only title at the moment), Rodan has proven why he deserves a place in the World Title Tournament with another Fantastic Win. Zudomon has just added another loss to his record.

Our final match of the evening will be a 9 fight match as it is the final match in the three part series between Rhedosaurus and Anguiras – Anguiras goes first.

Anguiras Rhedosaurus
5 2
1 5
2 18
1 12
14 12
17 1
12 9
3 11
17 15

Well wasn’t that a match, it was tough either way with both monsters giving it their all but Anguiras wins it making it his second win in the series and winning that all important title spot. Rhedosaurus gave it his all but this time could not cut the mustard, this time.

Well that wraps up another tough month of monster fights we have had some titanic battles and three monsters in particular have gained spots in the World Title Tournament. Next month we only have 3 matches but one of them is going to be big. Seven Monsters in a Hostile Takeover match. Five have fought in the MCA before while two will be debuting. One of which will be one of the most exciting monsters to debut in the MCA, because they are a Human, in my opinion the only Human Strong Enough, Big Enough and Intense enough to take on a monster. The Seven monsters are: Gigan, Gamera, Imoogi, The DeathSaurer, Manda, Gyaos and THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR.

See you next month, Take Care and Watch Out

MCA – Monster Combat Alliance – Heated Debate

29 08 2012

After all the fun I had with the King of The Monsters Tournament I have decided to turn Monster Combat into a regular feature. So I officially start the Monster Combat Alliance. The Number 1 place for Monster Fights on the World Wide Web.

The Rules for our matches will follow the same rules structure as the King of the Monsters Tournament (A Match will contain several fights with Dice Rolls) but with one new rule. If a 1 is rolled in the first fight by any monster, it is re-rolled. I will publish a full rule set on the New Page for the MCA soon.

Enough of all this, let the games begin. Tonight we have some amazing matches to kick-start this new enterprise. Tonight we begin our search for the first MCA World Champion. A tournament will take place in December with 8 Monsters and tonight sees the first place taken in a heated debate. A few weeks ago Mothra was bragging around her victory status of defeating Godzilla the most times, The Mechagodzilla’s were not happy. They put down the point that they have all one way or another come close to killing Godzilla. This confrontation started to get out of hand with Mothra and Kiryu almost throwing punches (or wings in the case of Mothra). So it has been decided to sort this out once and for all. Kiryu will be representing the Mecha-Godzilla’s as he takes on Mothra in tonight’s main-event. The winner of the match will gain the first spot in the World Championship Tournament in December.

Tonight we also have a grudge match. During the KOTM Tournament Godzilla got frustrated after going out in round 1 and attacked The Kraken. The Kraken has healed and wants revenge, The Kraken vs Godzilla Tonight. We also have the first round in a three match series with a place in the World Title Tournament at stake as Anguiras takes on Rhedosaurus (The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms). These matches plus more tonight, but our first match needs to be big one, and it is. The first KOTM Champion Rodan will be going one on one with Desghidorah in a 5 fight match, Rodan goes first. Let the destruction begin.

Check it out, Rodan must still be recovering from the tournament as it could not bring on enough strength to defeat the Death Ghidorah, Desghidorah Wins.

Our Next Match is another 5 Fight Match. This match is a fight between one of our Biggest Fighters and a human fighter as The DeathSaurer takes on Ultraman, Ultraman goes first.

Ultraman Wins, being in the tournament must count for something as one of the high scoring qualifiers wins this round against a monster I forget to include in the Tournament.

Now we move on to tonight’s Grudge Match, what a match this should be as two cinema icons face each other. Godzilla vs The Kraken, The Kraken goes first in a 7 fight Match.

All that anger against his attacker proved Nothing as Godzilla rampaged to victory, maybe The Kraken should have taken the beating like a loser and forget about the whole thing. Godzilla Wins.

Now we move onto the first match in our three match 5 fights series with a place in the World Title Tournament at stake. Rhedosaurus vs Anguiras, Rhedosaurus goes first.

Anguiras wins the first match in the series. Not much of a hectic match but these fights count for nothing in the series, only in the matches themselves. This time Anguiras wins, join us again next month for match number 2, Will Anguiras have a clean sweep or will The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms bring it to a draw.

Now we move on the our final match with a big prize at stake. But this is more than just a shot at the title. This is to see which of these 2 are the best. Mothra started the Argument, will she finish it or will Kiryu almost kill her like he has done in the past to Godzilla. This will be a 9 fight match. Mothra vs Kiryu, Mothra goes first.

Mecha-Godzilla 1974 - Present

Kiryu Wins, An evenly sided match but Kiryu walks away supreme. Not only is Kiryu now the better of the 2 he also cements the reputation of all Mecha-Godzilla’s previous to him as well as proving the power of robots vs moths. He goes through as the first entry into the World Title Tournament. Question is will Mothra Keep this down and will the other Mecha- Godzilla’s rebel at the prospect of Kiryu getting a title shot and not them. Who Knows? Congratulations Kiryu, see you soon.

Come Back Next Month for the next round in the three match series as well as many more matches including a match between two Death Monsters as Desghidorah takes on The DeathSaurer. Take care and watch out.
